ISEE Preparation

The ISEE (Independent School Entrance Exam) is a standardized test required for admission to many independent schools. Schools in the Puget Sound area that require the ISEE include: The Seattle Academy, The Overlake School, Lakeside School, and others.

We have found that students at ISEE grade levels are much more successful receiving test preparation instruction in a one-on-one environment and so we don't offer a regular classroom course for the ISEE. All of our ISEE tutors are qualified teachers experienced in working with children of ISEE testing age. It is important to us that students are comfortable and confident during their sessions and we take care to match each student with the right tutor for their needs and personality.

3 Levels of the Test

ISEE Tutoring

Lower: for students entering grades 5 and 6

Middle: for students entering grades 7 and 8

Upper: for students entering grades 9-12

Each practice test after the initial diagnostic test is $15.

How to Register for ISEE Tutoring

  1. Contact us to discuss your requirements and be prepared to give us your latest test scores.
  2. If you have not already taken the test for which you are preparing, make an appointment to come in to our office and take a free diagnostic test.
  3. We will recommend a number of hours of tutoring based on your past test or diagnostic test score.
  4. Fill out a registration form.
  5. We will contact you to arrange your appointments and to provide you with payment instructions.
  6. To make a payment, visit our payment page or bring a check or cash to your session.
