    Steve Sandweiss - Seattle, Tacoma
  • Steve Sandweiss has been helping students prepare for entrance exams to college, grad school, law school, and business school since 1991. For seven years he worked for Kaplan, the nation's largest test prep organization. In 1998, he decided that he could offer better quality courses at more affordable prices to Seattle-area students and formed Sandweiss Test Prep. He felt it was important to provide smaller class sizes and opportunities for individual attention for students to fully realize their test-taking potential.
  • Steve teaches and tutors the ACT, GMAT, GRE, ISEE, LSAT, and SAT, as well as specializing in certain SAT II test subjects, general school subjects, and college application essay assistance.

  • Jack Caughran - Seattle
  • Jack Caughran joined Sandweiss Test Prep in 2007 as an SAT tutor and administrative assistant. Jack received his bachelor's degree, magna cum laude, from Harvard University in 2003. He is currently on leave from a Ph.D. program in rhetoric at the University of California, Berkeley, where he studied questions of Native American political sovereignty and cultural survival. Jack brings a holistic perspective on the admissions process from six years of experience advising and editing application essays. Jack loves teaching and is grateful for the opportunity to work at Sandweiss until his modeling career takes off.

  • Jeff Iannone - Seattle
  • Jeff Iannone is currently teaching college level psychology and college skills. He is finishing his Doctorate in secondary education with a focus on the development of critical thinking skills in high school students. He has published articles on instructional technology, student aspirations, classroom management, and child advocacy. Jeff has been tutoring and teaching in Seattle for most of the last 10 years. His background has allowed him to acquire an expertise in student motivation by attending to the learning styles of his students and becoming sensitive to needs of the class as a whole.

  • Scott Lundy - Seattle
  • Scott Lundy began teaching in 1999 and has tutored in a variety of fields to date, including tennis instruction, science and math at high school level, SAT and MCAT preparation. He completed his Bachelors of Science in Bioengineering at the University of Texas and came to Seattle to pursue graduate studies in 2006. He has completed his first 2 years of medical school and is currently working towards receiving an MD and PhD.

  • Brandon Hendrickson - Seattle
  • Brandon graduated summa cum laude from the Barrett Honors College at Arizona State University, earning bachelor's degrees in History and Religious Studies. In high school, he scored 790 and 800 on his SAT Math and Verbal, and was awarded a National Merit scholarship for his troubles. He stumbled upon test-prep accidentally, and is happy to have found a job that values capability with both the Pythagorean Theorem and prepositional phrases. He's been teaching the SAT and ACT for two years, and is currently looking at Ph.D. programs in American education history. He's a passionate teacher.

  • Valerie Morgan-Krick - Tacoma
  • Valerie Morgan-Krick is a tenured faculty member in the Tacoma Community College math department, where she has worked since 1995. Valerie specializes in teaching "developmental math," primarily algebra-based classes below 100-level. She received her degree in Mathematics from Gonzaga University, where a strong liberal arts education provided the foundation for her ability in the English and Writing portions of the SAT. She has been working with Sandweiss Test Prep since the beginning of 2007.

  • Aaron Dilley - Seattle
  • Aaron Dilley has been tutoring with Sandweiss Test Prep since 2007. He has experience tutoring the SAT I, SAT II, and other math subjects. Aaron scored a perfect 800 on both the Math section of the SAT I as well as on the SAT II Math II. He is finishing up his junior year at University of Washington where he will graduate with a B.S. in Mathematics. He regularly competes and wins awards in national mathematical modeling competitions.

  • Aaron teaches and tutors math for both the SAT I and SAT II, as well as AP Calculus and other general math subjects.

  • Matt Inouye - Seattle
  • Matt Inouye has been tutoring with Sandweiss Test Prep since 2007. He is an undergraduate at the University of Washington, majoring in Chemistry and Statistics. Matt has spent many hours as a volunteer helping high school students in chemistry and math.

  • Matt tutors chemistry for the SAT II as well as general topics in chemistry.
